How does CareWay work?

CareWay uses the built-in microphone of your devices and runs entirely online, no download required. Its usage is simple: obtain patient consent, record the appointment, generate the note, review it, and copy it into your EMR.

Is CareWay approved by the College of Physicians, the FMOQ, and/or the MSSS?

These three entities do not oppose the use of CareWay's AI scribe in Canada. As a company developed in collaboration with Canadian physicians and healthcare professionals, CareWay maintains positive relationships with the College of Physicians, the MSSS, and the FMOQ.

Why is patient consent required?

Recording patient voices and clinical information requires strict compliance with applicable laws, including Quebec’s Law 25 and Law 3, as well as PIPEDA guidelines on consent and data privacy.

Can I use CareWay on my phone?

Yes, CareWay is a cross-platform web application that works seamlessly on any device (computer, tablet, and phone) directly through your browser.

Does CareWay work well for appointments with multiple consultation reasons?

Yes, during our 6-month beta test with over 200 healthcare professionals, managing multiple consultation reasons was a frequent challenge with medical AI scribes. That’s why our AI was specifically designed to identify and structure multiple concerns clearly and accurately.

How is the data stored? Is it ever sold?

Original data is automatically deleted after 48 hours. All information is encrypted and stored exclusively on servers located in Quebec. No personal patient data is ever required or sold. Our infrastructure complies with MSSS security standards to ensure confidentiality and data integrity.

Who are the founders of CareWay?

CareWay was founded by Marie Lavoie and Antoine Lavoie, two healthcare professionals from Quebec with three years of experience in medical AI at FitCam Health in New York, along with Pierre-Olivier Gravel, an expert in data science and large language models (LLMs).
